This is a full-time, Night shift opportunity with a commitment of 36 hours per week. As a Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Emergency Department, responsibilites include but are not limited to: Provides patient care to the critically ill pediatric population utilizing all aspects of the nursing process. Administers medications per hospital policies and procedures. Certification Requirements: Must maintain certifications as follows: Basic Life Support upon hire. Within one year of hire of hire into the department, RN must complete and maintain certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nurse Core Certification (TNCC), CPI, Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course(PEARS) Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC), and (STABLE). Pediatric emergency medical physicians affiliated with Wolfson Children's Hospital are also available during peak hours daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. With a focus on wellness, the campus's three story Medical Office Building will feature a YMCA on the first floor with a Healthy Living Center. The Medical Office Building has primary care an specialist physicians' offices that are open throughout the year, providing northside families with a "one-stop" destination for a wide array of care.
