May participate in plan of care rounds depending on service and unit protocols. Provides timely Smart Square schedules and on call schedules if applicable. Follows up appropriately and effectively resolves customer and physician issues and complaints. Monitors staff schedules to ensure adequate staffing to meet patient care needs and maintain quality patient care. May authorize overtime or scheduling changes to fill shifts as necessary. Completes payroll in collaboration with Nurse Manager. Provides volumes & adjustments to reflect variances in staffing needs within Smart Square. Collaborates with the Nurse Manager to evaluate, maintain and improve patient care team member performance. Assists in implementing changes in clinical practice and evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to ensure compliance with organization, department and unit specific goals. Supports nursing professional development, Magnet, and Shared Governance through participation in, and mentoring of colleagues, on councils and the Clinical Ladder program. Provides patient care support when necessary. QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required or preferred. Education - Required Specialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
