Essential Position Responsibilities Perform a comprehensive and accurate patient assessment using evidence-based assessment tools Provides nursing care according to plan and undertakes clinical practice skills in a competent and safe manner Identifies changes in patient condition and reports to appropriate providers in a timely manner Initiates and monitors care that patients receive Maintains patients’ medical records through complete and accurate documentation Evaluates patient needs and communicates to care team as appropriate Qualifications Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program Licensure and Certifications: Arkansas Registered Nurse license & CPR, required. ACLS within 90 days of hire, required. PALS within 90 days of hire, required. This position requires a moderate sedation and dysrhythmia course, and TNCC within 12 months of date of hire or transfer. National Certification and ASLS are encouraged. Experience: Previous experience in an acute care setting, preferred. Work Environment : This position has exposure to body fluids, radiation, and communicable disease. This position spends the majority of time standing and/or walking of short distances, with frequent pushing, pulling, and lifting of up to 100lbs as well as occasional carrying of up to 25 lbs. This position will serve a culturally and linguistically diverse patient population including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, with the majority being adults and geriatrics.
