Medication Reminders Medication support is limited to the responsibilities authorized in the client’s approved non-medical care plan. Caregivers may: Provide scheduled reminders. Assist with an approved prefilled medication planner. Place approved medications in a cup when directed. Remind the client to self-administer their medication. Document reminders and client responses. Report refusals, missed doses or other concerns. Caregivers must not independently administer medication, change medication instructions or provide medical advice outside their authorized scope. Transportation When required and authorized, caregivers may: Transport clients to appointments. Assist with approved errands. Transport clients to social activities. Help clients enter and exit the vehicle. Secure mobility equipment appropriately. Follow all client-specific transportation instructions. Maintain a clean, safe and insured vehicle.
