Performs triage duties with sick call as well as assisting doctor in sick call with nursing input. Preforms wound care duties on daily basis for chronic resident conditions. – Conducts random UDS and ETOH tests complete with documentation as dictated by policy. Performs lab draws as necessary. Receives, documents, and distributes self-medications per policy. Conducts random medication counts to ensure resident compliance with self-medication protocol. – Performing chart reviews – Documentation in resident records, complete nursing assessments, summaries, and other documentation as needed. – Attend and participate in resident staffing's, treatment planning conferences, doctor's rounds – Provides orientation, supervision, on the job training to new employees: assists in evaluation of job performance; acts as a resource person for unit employees. - Attends in-service training to maintain or increase knowledge of leadership, medical-surgical and psychiatric nursing updates, and legal aspects of nursing, etc. -Maintains safe, therapeutic clinical environment keeps supplies updated and replenished.
