Description Ensures that quality nursing care is delivered to all patients on assigned nursing units, in accordance with the philosophy, policies, proce­dures, and program plans of the hospital. Ensures patient care standards, orientation, and continuing education standards are followed. Demonstrates an understanding of the principles of growth and develop­ment to assess each patient's age, specific needs, and plans age specific treat­ment and care. Other roles and reponsibilities as assigned. Requirements Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current Illinois licensure. Bachelor's degree preferred. PALS, ACLS, and/or Neonatal Resuscitation certificate may be required. Minimum of five years acute care nursing experience. Demonstrated supervisory competence. Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills. Demonstrated clinical expertise and knowledge in assigned nursing units. Physical Requirements: Work is of moderate demand. Routine lifting requirements fewer than 25 pounds, occasional lifting requirements of medium to heavy demand.
