About our OR at Ridges: Our 150-bed community-based hospital currently has 11 OR Rooms, averaging over 7,500 cases a year. Our OR specializes in areas including: Spine, Ortho, OB-GYN, General, ENT, Plastic, Urology, and Da Vinci. Our call response time is 30 minutes and it is a weekend Increased flexibility! Limited Call schedule (1 out of 6 weekends) As a Surgical Technologist, you will be responsible for: Supplying appropriate instruments, suture, and specialty items. Maintaining aseptic technique during all sterile procedures. Ensuring accurate identification and handling of specimens. Counting all required sponges, sharps, and instruments. Assuring availability and accurate functioning of supplies and equipment. Modifying clinical interventions based on population served. Nurturing a culture of improvement, efficiency, and innovative thinking. Anticipating the surgeon’s needs. Following appropriate action in emergency situations.
