Organization: 10N Acute Care Surgery 10 Job Summary: Applies the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. SHIFT: The person hired into this position will work three 12-hour shifts from 7:00p-7:00a per week for a total of 36 hours per week, to include some weekends. There will be two call shifts in a six week scheduling period. Join the brand-new Acute Surgical Care Stepdown unit coming to 10N, a 31-bed stepdown unit with a nurse to patient ratio of 1:4-5, offering a unique opportunity to help build a new team from the ground up. Nurses will provide a stepdown level of care to adult patients either awaiting surgery or recovering post-operatively. The unit features a collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere. Please note this is inpatient/bedside position.
