Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patients medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology. Job Overview Fairview is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our ICU - Cardiovascular Department at our East Bank University Hospital location in Minneapolis, MN. We care for patients who have had coronary artery bypass, valve replacement and transcatheter aortic valve replacement, aortic arch repair and heart and lung transplant. The CVICU also handles patients with decompensated heart failure, adult congenital heart defects, cardiogenic shock, advanced pulmonary hypertension and cardiac arrest. We apply extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), ventricular assist devices (VAD), intraortic balloon pumps (IABP) and Swan-Ganz catheters routinely.
