A Brief Overview Functions as a member of the Practice Management team working in different physicians offices providing both Front and Back Office Clerical and Clinical services. What You Will Do Performs all medical procedures necessary (ie. Venipunctures, vital signs and EKGs) on all patients as required. Explains testing procedure to patient prior to test. Receives specimens from patients. Manually documents information required for patients’ specimens and tests completed, in various ancillary department medical records. Visually reviews test results for completion and abnormalities. Position Summary To coordinate Medical Assistant work processes and supervises MA's for a Practice. Responsible for overseeing scheduling of staff, providing feedback on job performance, orienting new MAs, and participating in the employment process. Education Associates Degree in healthcare related field preferred and completion of a formal Medical Assistant program that is recognized by the State of New Jersey. Current and valid certification as a certified medical assistant or registered medical assistant recognized by the Board of Examiners such as American Medical Technology (AMT), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) required. Experience Supervisory experience preferred. Demonstrated clinical proficiency as a Medical Assistant.
