Helping Hearts USA LLC is seeking a professional, well-groomed, educated, and experienced male caregiver to support a client overnight. This role is ideal for someone with strong memory care instincts who can provide calm structure, safety supervision, personal care, and companionship while maintaining the client’s dignity and comfort. The right caregiver will be steady, patient, and confident supporting dementia/Alzheimer’s-related needs such as confusion, nighttime restlessness, anxiety, and sundowning. The client responds positively to music, so candidates who can incorporate music appropriately to promote calm and connection are strongly preferred. Position Summary As an overnight caregiver (7p–7a), you will help the client remain safe, comfortable, and supported through the night by providing attentive supervision, personal care support as needed, and dementia-friendly communication. You must remain alert throughout the shift, maintain professional boundaries, and communicate clearly with the office and family when updates are needed. This is a non-medical role. Caregivers provide support services, reminders, observation, and documentation based on the care plan. This client requires full assistance with activities of daily living, including hands-on transfer assistance, and is considered a significant fall risk. We need a caregiver who understands that fall prevention requires constant awareness, close supervision, careful assistance, and proactive safety measures throughout the entire shift. The selected caregiver must be available to work all three scheduled days Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Consistent attendance is essential because the client depends on a stable routine and familiar caregivers. The client also has a small dog in the home. Applicants must be comfortable entering and working in a home with a small household pet. At Helping Hearts, caregiving is more than a job, it is a calling. During every transfer, the caregiver must: Explain the transfer process to the client Make sure the client is positioned correctly Properly position the wheelchair or commode Lock the wheelchair brakes before beginning Move footrests, cords, furniture, and other obstacles out of the way Clear and inspect the transfer area Use proper body mechanics Use approved transfer equipment when required Closely monitor the client’s balance and comfort Move slowly and avoid rushing or pulling the client Stop immediately if the transfer becomes unsafe Transfers must never be rushed or attempted in an unsafe manner. If a transfer requires two caregivers or cannot be completed safely, the caregiver must not attempt it alone. The caregiver must keep the client safe and contact the Helping Hearts office immediately for assistance and further direction. Proactive Fall Prevention and Safety Monitoring Because this client is at significant risk for falls, the caregiver must remain alert, attentive, engaged, and safety-focused throughout the entire shift.
