This role requires completing a six-month orientation period Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide direct nursing care. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for a given patient population. Assessments: complete ongoing assessments, recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately. Planning: develop and update goals, involve patients and families in developing plans of care, coordinating the interdisciplinary plan of care and serve as a patient advocate. Implementation: provide nursing care, administer treatments and medication and document. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program) Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Successfully complete mandatory clinical competencies annually Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Scrub experience Two years of Operating Room experience Physical Requirements: Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Schedule Every Other Saturday & Sunday 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM Position Summary The Weekend Day Shift Nurse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of the facility during assigned weekend shifts. This role provides leadership and support to the nursing team while ensuring residents receive high-quality, compassionate care in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Supervise and support nursing staff throughout the shift. Ensure quality resident care and timely response to resident needs. Assist with admissions, discharges, and changes in resident condition. Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary team. Monitor documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance. Respond to clinical emergencies and provide leadership during urgent situations. Serve as the clinical resource and decision-maker for the nursing team. Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment. Qualifications Current Ohio LPN or RN license in good standing.
