Inserts peripheral intravenous catheters and PICCs for patients using vascular visualization devices, including ultrasound. Consults with staff related to vascular access devices and complications of vascular access. Cares for and maintains vascular access devices and clinical interventions for PICC issues: including clearance of occluded catheters, removal of catheters with resistance, dressing protocols for skin issues. Provides unit-based education. Provides patient/family education. Participates in quality and process improvement projects. Provides direct patient care to in/outpatients requiring sedation for but not limited to procedures and radiological exams. Administers conscious sedation (moderate sedation) per competency under direction of Provider. Accesses patients before, during, and after administration of conscious sedation and provides appropriate care. Assesses and provides appropriate teaching based on patient and family needs including pre/post sedation needs. Renders direct and indirect outcome nursing care through the application of the nursing process; functions within policies, practice guidelines and nursing standards of SMH in accordance with the Massachusetts Nurse Practice Act, CDC and OSHA standards, and any other applicable regulatory or accreditation agency. Education/Training: Successful completion of appropriate pretest/ exams, classroom orientation and precepted clinical orientation. Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred. Job Summary The RN Care Manager (RN CM) performs utilization management, case management and discharge planning activities for acute care, and/or extended care patients including ambulatory and emergency department patients. Duties & Responsibilities Per the hospital Utilization Management Plan, the RN CM performs utilization and resource management by assessing and reassessing the patients’ medical necessity to ensure accurate status (i.e. inpatient, observation, or ambulatory care) and documents the timely, appropriate use of evidence-based criteria, e.g. InterQual. Responds to all insurer requests for information and collaborates with onsite review nurses e.g. regarding insurance authorization. Responsibilities Admissions Nurse (RN) Opportunity - Fuller Hospital is a 109-bed licensed, private psychiatric facility located in South Attleboro, Massachusetts providing inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services to residents of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 - Sturdy Memorial Hospital is seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our community-based hospital in Attleboro, MA. We are a patient-focused organization and looking to grow our team with providers who are dedicated to providing meaningful patient care. Education/Training: Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant program Licenses/Certification: • FNP or PA-C • Massachusetts NP/PA medical license • DEA/CSR license • ACLS/BLS certification Job Profile Summary : 30 or 36 hours per week positions available (includes benefits). Shift lengths vary from 8.5 hours to 12 hours.
