Prepare for and participate in state surveys, accreditation reviews, and audits. Implement corrective action plans as needed following surveys or quality reviews. Clinical Oversight Review and approve patient assessments, plans of care, and clinical documentation as required. Monitor the appropriateness and quality of patient care services. Ensure timely physician orders, recertifications, and clinical documentation. Evaluate patient outcomes and implement interventions to improve quality of care. Participate in case conferences and interdisciplinary care planning. Staff Supervision Supervise and evaluate nursing personnel. Assist with recruitment, interviewing, hiring, orientation, and retention of clinical staff. Conduct performance evaluations and competency assessments. Ensure staff maintain required licensure, certifications, and continuing education. Provide ongoing clinical education and professional development opportunities. Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Direct the agency's Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program. Monitor clinical indicators, patient satisfaction, incident reports, infection control data, and quality metrics. Analyze trends and implement performance improvement initiatives. Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT4, HCPCS coding, as well as Workers Compensation/No Fault front end responsibilities (C4, MG2, etc.) Document all patient care or tasks in the patients' medical records (Electronic and hard copy) and adheres to the policies and procedures set forth by SJR Medical, PC. Follows "Down Time" procedures when applicable. Accurate collection and documentation of MIPS data in EMR during patient visit; complete intake of all the physical, surgical and social history Daily use of Electronic Practice Management System (currently MedGen) and adheres to all policies and procedures related to workflows in MedGen as well as appropriate use of MCdGen. Administrative tasks as assigned: filing, photocopying, scanning. Demonstrate knowledge of insurance companies, ICD-10, CPT coding, and general wherewithal of front desk responsibilities. Maintain par level of supplies, ordering and stocking rooms. Maintain cooperative working relationships and provides support to other staff in the performance of their duties within the scope of the CMA/MA position/certification, Accept and complete directions as delegated by the Medical Provider(s) and members of the management team (Office Manager, Director of Practice Management and St. John 's Administration). Attend business related meetings as requested. Assist within other areas of-the practice when required. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions. Job Qualification Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, preferred. Must be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two (2) years and obtain a BSN Degree within five (5) years of job entry date. Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
