Department/Unit: HBD - Rheumatology Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $40,495.10 - $52,643.64 The Medical Assistant (MA) performs assigned tasks of direct and indirect care in the ambulatory setting to meet the care needs of patients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP). The Medical Assistant participates as a member of the health care team and accepts appropriate delegation from the RN, LPN or LIP in meeting needs of the patient/family. The Medical Assistant performs assigned tasks in accordance with the patient care plan, policies and procedures of the organization and principles of patient-centered care. The Medical Assistant carries out designated activities that are within those functions limited by NYS law to unlicensed health care personnel. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Documents information into patient record in an accurate and timely manner Obtains prior authorizations from insurance companies Generates medical renewals under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider Assists LPN’s with obtaining information for pump/sensor/meter approvals Assists in clinical coverage as needed Adheres to AMC’s regulatory compliance issues Other responsibilities as assigned by manager Qualifications High School Diploma/G.E.D. - required 1-3 years Medical office experience - preferred Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Ability to work within a team as well as individually Certified Medical Assistant with accreditation by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) Upon Hire - required Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. $105,000 - $140,000 / year
Purpose: We are looking for an experienced Advanced Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to provide primary care to homebound and complex care patients in the Philadelphia, PA region on a full-time basis. You will apply medical techniques and principles under the supervision of a physician and you will care for a diverse set of patients with chronic diseases. What You'll Do: Provide high quality care to primary and palliative patients in and around Philadelphia, PA. Assess patient's health by performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories and creating the best plan for care. Effectively communicate with office staff and clinical operations across various internal platforms Provide high quality, patient centered care to a panel of patients Develop impressions, diagnosis, and treatment plans Foster trust and consult with patients, families, and caregivers during visits Order diagnostic testing as medically necessary Prescribe medications supplies and appropriate medically necessary interventions What You'll Need: Board Certified, with a valid NP or PA certification in the state of Pennsylvania Strong clinical skills with the ability to accurately and confidently treat, assess, and diagnose Positive demeanor and strong people skills Ability to confidently problem solve and operate independently 1-2 years of primary care experience with geriatric patients (hospice experience highly preferred but not required) What you'll get: A flexible schedule - so you can see your patients during a schedule that works for you Autonomy - so you can feel trusted to provide the best care possible.
