Job Description The Nursing Department on the Manhattan Campus is seeking full time, 37.5 hours night shift CNA Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team! All CNAs are required to work every other weekend. This opening is for the night shift, 11:30 pm to 7:30 am. Under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse, the Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) performs direct resident/patient care, assisting in attaining the highest possible level of functioning in all Activities of Daily Living (ADL) to maximize their independence. Skills & Requirements Currently certified in NYS Commissioner of Health Nurse Aide Registry. High School diploma/GED equivalent preferred.

Documents in HCHB Clinical Software all assessments, treatments and services provided and patient response to the treatment plan. The Registered Nurse 1 (T&RC) is a full performance level nurse position and possesses a license as a registered professional nurse in New York State; under the general direction of a higher level registered nurse or licensed health care provider, independently provides direct nursing care to individuals in accordance with Article 139 of the Education Law; supervises nursing care activities; and provides clinical supervision and training to Graduate Nurses (T&RC), Teaching & Research Center Licensed Practical Nurses, and direct care staff. 184985 Job Description Provides physician-supervised physical and emotional care for the mother during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases. Evaluates progress and manages the labor and delivery. Evaluates and provides immediate care for the normal newborn. Job Responsibility Performs complete history and physical examination on new patients admitted to the labor room, and writes admission notes utilizing the attending physician when appropriate. Discusses new admissions with the attending physician and nursing staff including noted complications. Decides who will follow the patient and develops a plan for care. Performs admissions diagnostics and care including, but not limited to pelvic examination, cervical cultures, drawing bloods, and starting intravenous lines. Follows progress of labor of all patients in labor and delivery suite in collaboration with the attending physician and nursing staff.
