Registered Nurse School Setting - West Orange, NJ

Embark on a rewarding contract role supporting elementary students as a Health Room Nurse in a vibrant school community near West Orange, NJ. Qualifications and Experience: Active RN license for the state of New Jersey is required Proven pediatric nursing experience is essential Previous school nursing experience is highly preferred Clear background and health screenings per state and district requirements Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families Organized, collaborative, and compassionate approach to student health Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary Health Room Nurse for an elementary school caseload Assess and address daily student health needs, including medication administration and first aid Maintain accurate health records and handle confidential information with care Support health education and safety initiatives in the school community Act as a liaison between school staff, families, and healthcare providers Respond quickly to health emergencies or incidents during school hours Position Details: Contract assignment, running from start date through December 23, 2026 32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday (8:30 AM 3:45 PM) Consistent schedule allows for work-life balance If youre a dedicated RN ready to support elementary learners and enthusiastic about school-based pediatric care, apply today to make a positive impact in this fulfilling contract role!
