Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to nursing staff, and monitors staff practices and implementation. Participates in all admissions decisions, and may visit prospective residents before admissions. Participates in daily and weekly management team meetings to discuss resident status, census changes, personnel, or resident complaints or concerns. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or assigned at any time with or without notice. Qualifications Currently licensed as RN in the state practiced. Associate or Bachelor Degree from an accredited nursing school required. Five years in long-term or acute health care preferred; At least 2 years nursing supervisory experience required.

What You’ll Do Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision) Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care Performs other duties as assigned What You’ll Bring Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic Work-life balance is at the foundation of how decisions are made and where Premise is headed. Position Description: LGHP Geriatrics is seeking an Experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their Weekend Inpatient Consult Service Team . This 0.2-0.5 FTE role can be combined with another internal APP position and is ideal for those seeking a non-traditional schedule and the opportunity to blend inpatient and outpatient care. This role is comprised of Geriatric Consult Service rounding in the hospital setting. The Geriatrics team, consisting of 40 physicians and advanced practice providers, provides high quality care to the frail geriatric population in a variety of service areas including the outpatient office, nursing home, hospital consult service, and home care. Our team focuses on providing the geriatric population of Lancaster County, PA with the highest standard of care tailored to meet individual patient needs.
