Nursing Assistant - Med Surg

Hours of Job Full time - 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Every Third Weekend and Holiday Rotation Required Duties and Key Responsibilities Nursing Assistant with excellent communication and teamwork skills. Must be willing and able to complete basic telemetry course that is taught at JTDMH by the JTDMH Education Department, to function in the monitor watcher role. Must also possess solid clinical skills and be capable of performing a variety of basic patient care activities in caring for the personal needs and comfort of the patient. Candidates must also collaborate and interact positively with the interdisciplinary team in order to provide quality patient care and achieve a high level of patient satisfaction. Must also be willing to float to other work areas as needed; to include 2nd and 5th floor. Candidate must also be able to be on feet for long periods of time and possess ability to meet physical effort conditions within job description. Must be willing to work every third weekend and half of the major holidays. STNA preferred but not required. Requirements Weekend rotation. Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs. Education/Certifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience Previous nursing assistant experience preferred.
