The CCL provides specialized diagnostic and interventional services for both inpatient and outpatient adults. The CCL is committed to staying at the cutting edge of heart disease diagnosis and treatment by utilizing state-of-the-art technologies and equipment in our lab. Procedures that are included but not limited to: cardiac and peripheral diagnostics and revascularizations, electrophysiology studies, structural heart procedures, and vascular embolization. The normal hours of operation for the CCL are Monday through Friday 6:30am to 7:00pm with extended hours until 9:00pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. On call critical care/emergency services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call is a requirement for this department with a required 20-minute staff response time. The call-team members consist of a Cardiologist, RN circulators, cath lab technologists, or Special Procedure Technologists. Job Description: The Interventional Radiology Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) provides comprehensive care for patients undergoing diagnostic and image-guided procedures. The role supports procedural services, patient evaluation, and care coordination across inpatient and outpatient settings. This position serves as an integral member of the radiology team, working under the supervision and/or collaborative agreement of designated supervising radiologist(s) to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care while supporting procedural workflow and departmental throughput. Job Description Summary Performs tasks and procedures consistent with Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant's (PA) specialized knowledge, judgment, skill, training and education within the scope of his/her supervising physician. Consults with supervising physician or designee to provide health care services for conditions other than acute self-limited or well-defined problems. Establishes a plan of care/treatment and provides counseling and clear instructions to the patient regarding mental and physical health using jointly agreed upon procedures and protocols by PA and supervisory physician. Assists with or performs surgical procedures at the direction of the supervising physician; performs hospital rounds and documents patient progress notes as appropriate. Makes appropriate specialty referrals for patient treatment outside of scope of practice. Administers, dispenses, prescribes drugs and medications and/or medical supplies or therapies consistent with both supervising physician and own skill, training, education and competence and within the scope of practice of both. Establishes a process of timely review and management of abnormal test results as per supervision agreement.
