Our Neurology Department is currently seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver care that is second to none in our high volume-fast paced practice. Primary duties for this position include, but are not limited to: Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures. Record and maintaining records of vitals and other pertinent patient health data. Prepare Botox injections. Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care. Complete prior authorizations for treatment and diagnostic testing. Record and follow up on laboratory and diagnostic test results, including patient communication. Manage patient communication, including returning phone calls, answering questions, scheduling of tests/procedures, referral appointments as needed., changes in medications, and coordinating prescription refills. Cross train for IV infusion therapy as needed. Qualifications: Current RN license is required. Experience providing infusion treatment, preferred. BLS required or must obtain within the first 60 days of employment. Proficiency (or ability to become proficient) in EMR and related computer systems. Strong Commitment to patient care and teamwork.
