Job Summary Responsible for providing nursing care to an assigned group of patients under the supervision of a registered nurse and in accordance with the hospital’s philosophy of patient care. Duties & Responsibilities Assist the RN in the observation, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care. Job Summary Under the direction of the Hyperbaric Supervisor provides direct care to Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy patients as prescribed by the (Medical) Director Wound Recovery Center or attending Hyperbaric physician operates and maintains the HBOT chambers and associated systems and equipment and evaluates the care for clients according to age-specific criteria. The RN works within the State Practice Act and follows all Hyperbaric Medicine Wound Recovery Center and Kent Hospital policies and procedures. Duties & Responsibilities Operates maintains and ensures the safety of the hyperbaric facility and all associated systems and equipment prepares the chamber equipment and materials needed for patients undergoing HBOT. Carries out protocols of treatment as prescribed under physician’s direction observes patients and system during course of HBOT documents patient condition and reports unusual occurrences to HBO supervisor and Medical Director (physician on duty.) Maintains operating maintenance and safety logs and other required documentation performs preventive and other required maintenance (except yearly/biannual factory service) on the chamber/system as needed. Is responsible for cleanliness of equipment per policy assists/maintains a neat orderly work area appropriate inventory of supplies. Demonstrates competence in patient and family education including the purpose and procedure of HBOT. Job Summary Under the supervision of the Team/Program Manager, the HH clinician is accountable for effectively managing or caring for a caseload of patients from admission to transition into the community, involving interdisciplinary support and referrals when appropriate. This position coordinates the interdisciplinary care, monitors and adjusts treatment to achieve positive therapeutic outcomes, and identifies opportunities for process improvement. These responsibilities will be carried out in accordance with organization policies/procedure and standards consistent with Federal, State and accreditation regulations. Requirements Equivalent education required for RI licensure required, Bachelor’s Degree (min) in relevant discipline strongly preferred A minimum of one (1) year progressive clinical experience required. Job Description: I. Position Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) will utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to ensure quality-nursing care and to maximize the quality of life for the patients. The RN is an integral member of the clinical support team, and collaborates with other multidisciplinary members to meet the clinical needs of the patients. The RN is an active supporter of the culture change initiatives, and serves as a role model and mentor to others. They are an active participant in the activities, work, and social environment of the units, and strive to make every patient encounter into a positive and meaningful experience and opportunity, while ensuring the provision of safe and efficient quality care. May be assigned charge nurse responsibilities. Responsibilities may include: · Giving shift report to on coming staff · Provide clinical/supervisory oversight to assigned unit during shift · Delegate assignments to team assigned to shift · Initiate necessary reports including DPH, incident reports, concern resolutions · Assure completion of admission or discharges during shift · Attend rounds (wound, physician etc) · Provides oversight of LPN assessments (as assigned) and co-signs nursing assessments and initial care plans. · If acting in the capacity of charge nurse, may develop patient care assignments (appointing other staff, RN, LPN or PCA to implement an established care plan for a designated period of work time), create schedules, and contribute to performance evaluations and educating other staff on HSL policy and procedure. 23. Qualifications : Graduate of approved school of nursing required; BSN preferred Current Massachusetts license as an R.N. in good standing Previous experience preferred Understand the philosophy and support the model of care at HRC required Must be professional, proactive, collaborative, conscientious and results-oriented individual.
