Job Description The Department of Orthopedic Surgery is looking for a full-time Advanced Practice Provider to work with the Orthopedic team in the outpatient clinic at the Salisbury, MD and Milford, DE locations. This position will be full-time, four 10-hour days . This position functions in collaboration with a multidisciplinary patient care team and is responsible for performing direct patient care services in collaboration with an attending physician and assisting with the overall care of the children receiving services in the outpatient setting. Job Description Nemours is seeking a Full-Time Utilization Management RN to join our team in Wilmington, DE! The Utilization Management Nurse is responsible for the monitoring patient plan of care for timely completion and efficient use of resources by facilitating diagnostic and treatment services, tests, consultations and procedures. Oversees appropriateness of care using pre-established, health industry standards ensuring the appropriate allocation and use of hospital resources. Facilitates patient flow during the inpatient stay, identifies and proactively addresses potential denials of payment. Ensures timely and efficient patient throughput of assigned patient populations. Identifies barriers and works collaboratively with the medical and ancillary teams to resolve and expedite safe discharge. Converts observation to admission and, conversely, admission to observation status; communicates change to team and others as needed. Facilitates the timely completion of diagnostic tests, procedures and treatment services, consultations and discharge planning activities in collaboration with the case management staff. Monitors payer authorization for continued stay Collaborates with patient care team to ensure efficient patient throughput. Communicates length of stay authorizations and barriers to discharge to unit based team daily; working within the team to identify and resolve issues. Monitors and facilitates correct patient class and accommodation codes via the EMR for every patient. Adheres to and participates in revisions to all policies and procedures within the department. Job Description Nemours is seeking a Nursing Assistant for 5 West -Hematology Oncology Transplant and Cellular Therapy unit. This is for eleven 12-hour shifts in a 6-week schedule, 12 hour rotating shifts with weekend and holiday requirements. 5 West is a 24-bed unit has been designated as the Hematology/Transplant and Cellular Therapy and Endocrine unit for the Nemours/ Alfred I. du Pont Hospital for Children. This step-down unit provides inpatient care for pediatric patients requiring services from the Hematology/ Oncology, Transplant and Cellular Therapy, and Endocrine subspecialties. Admitting diagnoses include but are not limited to leukemia, lymphoma, brain tumors, neuroblastomas, solid organ malignancies, sickle cell disease, bleeding disorders, diabetes, and other types of genetic and immune disorders. In addition, stem cell and bone marrow donors are cared for on this unit. The type of patient care provided in this area is complex due to patient diagnosis, the intensity of therapy, the criticality of patient condition, and the extensive patient/family issues that necessitate nursing intervention. This position can flex to all units in the hospital as well to the hematology oncology clinic as needed. Essential Functions Ensuring a clean and safe patient care unit, assisting patients with activities of daily life (bath, feed, play, etc. Collects patient specimens (blood, urine, stool, other per policy), paying close attention to patient safety, comfort, and accuracy of information. Uses Hospital Information Systems as required for patient care, (e.g., documenting vital signs and patient care activities.) Accurately relays information from physicians, nurses, laboratory personnel and others. Transport’s patients and delivers reports, supplies, etc., to other patient units or Institute locations as needed. Ensures an adequate stock of all necessary equipment and supplies in designated areas at established par levels. Courteously and professionally covers patient care unit front desk as needed. This includes promptly answering telephones, greeting patients, sending reports, distributing, sorting, or processing mail, entering orders, managing medical record, etc. Participates in unit, departmental, and hospital education programs Attends unit meetings regularly as specified in policy. Job Description Our 3 East unit is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join our team in Wilmington, DE! The nursing assistant role is responsible for assisting with general activities of the patient care unit and assist the health care team with performance of patient care activities, under the direction and guidance of a Registered Nurse. Position is full-time, 36 hrs/wk, rotating day and night shifts with weekend and holiday requirement. 3 East is a surgical intermediate unit with a high population of patients requiring post-operative care for urological issues, traumatic injuries, and general surgery. 3 East also cares for patients with acute and end stage renal disease and patients requiring an intermediate level of nursing care due to their tracheostomy and/or ventilator needs. The Synergy model is used in making appropriate patient assignments based on patient and family needs and nursing skill set. Special equipment used on this unit includes infusion pumps, syringe pumps, feeding pumps, BiPap respirators, Oxygen delivery methods, PCA & epidural pumps, wound vacutainers, ventilators and specialty beds. Nursing competencies include: chest tube management, pain management, blood product administration, urinary catheterization, tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and central line care and management.
