Order, perform and interpret diagnostic studies. Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions. Document on delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy. Perform procedures, to include intubation, umbilical lines, lumbar puncture, thoracentesis/chest tube placement, PICC line placement, Participate in and attend to high-risk deliveries including stabilization and management of complex critical needs of the newborn. Demonstrate strong newborn assessment, management, and delivery room skills. Participate in neonatal transport, if/when needed.
