Qualifications and Desired Experience: Active RN license in New Jersey required Previous nursing experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred Skilled in assessment, triage, and responding to student health needs Knowledgeable in administering medications and managing chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies Strong communication abilities for interactions with students, families, staff, and healthcare providers Ability to maintain accurate health records in compliance with regulations Up-to-date CPR and First Aid certifications Responsibilities: Provide direct nursing services to students, including emergency care, medication administration, and routine health screenings Develop and implement care plans for students with chronic health conditions Serve as a resource for health education and wellness promotion throughout the school community Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to support student needs Maintain meticulous health records, report communicable diseases, and ensure compliance with state and district guidelines Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and 504 meetings as needed In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to make a daily difference for students, play a key part in wellness initiatives, and work alongside an enthusiastic educational team.
