Location SAINT LOUIS, MO 63110 Scheduled Hours 40 Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated Critical Care APP Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team. This Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider position is eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus and $5,000 relocation reimbursement, which will be discussed with interviewed candidates. In addition, hires are eligible for additional compensation bonuses tied to productivity and retention. These positions offer billable hours, shift and holiday differential, and monthly bonuses. Position Details: · Full-time (average 40 hours per week). · Schedule consists of an average of (3) 12-13 hour shifts per week to include up to 50% nights, weekends, holidays, and paid call. · Flexible scheduling options may be available, including weekend and/or night shift-only options with additional incentives. · Eligibility for a recurring retention bonus given after 12 months of employment and every 2 years thereafter. · Monthly bonus (including productivity and shift differential). · Annual bonus. · Referral bonus. The advanced practice provider will be employed by the Department of Anesthesiology within WashU Medicine, a top ranked medical school in the country. The APP will work at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, a nationally recognized Magnet center and ranked among the nation’s best hospitals by U.S. News & World Report, and/or affiliated BJC community hospitals, and telemedicine. Opportunities include cardiothoracic ICU, surgical/burn/trauma ICU, combined medical/surgical ICUs, and telemedicine. ICU work locations will be determined based on the applicant's experience and professional interests. Will practice as an independent provider in collaboration with a fellowship trained intensivist within diverse, skilled, inter-professional critical care teams. Requirements for this role include a master’s or doctoral degree as a Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care certification) or Physician Assistant with concentrated critical care experience or knowledge. Bills for professional services as permitted by collaborative practice agreement. Supports 24/7 staffing model, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Works in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, and quality assurance programs as well as safety, environmental, and infection control standards. The Geriatric unit is for those who truly have a passion for the elderly population in Psych. The team in Psychiatry is a well-rounded group caring for patients with a wide range of Psychiatric illnesses. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care. Responsibilities Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment. Educates patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post treatment home care needs and medication administration. Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance. Participates in professional development. Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with other members of the interprofessional team and patient, family or caregiver in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care. Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care. Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care. Assess patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including their values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific needs. Each transplant coordinator on the transplant team is an expert in there transplant field of specialty. Together, they bring their expertise, knowledge and understanding to the patients in our multiple transplant programs. The transplant coordinator organizes and manages all aspects of care provided before and after transplant. Provides discharge instruction, coordinates post-transplant follow-up care, monitors patient status, and facilitates the physical, social and emotional rehabilitation of the patient. Plans, conducts and evaluates educational activities regarding organ donation and transplantation. Responsibilities Manages the health care of transplant patients and donors. Coordinates care with physicians and health care team. Provides education throughout continuum of care. Documents patient assessment and diagnosis, plan of care, implementation and evaluation of care and teaching on assigned patients. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to identify and resolve problems in patient care management.
