Measure, document, and report vital signs and other clinical observations. Explain treatment plans and procedures to patients and prepare examination rooms prior to provider visits. Assist providers during examinations and procedures by preparing equipment and handing instruments as directed. Administer medications, injections, immunizations, and treatments within the scope of licensure and provider orders. Participates in the quality control program while providing continuous assessment and improvement of the quality of care and/or service. See consultations in the inpatient unit/Emergency room as needed to facilitate efficient care and disposition to reduce ED LOS. Provides appropriate patient documentation as needed, to include progress notes, discharge summaries, comorbidity documentation to drive the case mix index (CMI) and queries from the documentation team. Facilitates timely & safe discharges to meet the goals set by the institution . Collaboratesand change/feedingremoval/tracheostomy with physician leaders by attending monthly data analytics/efficiency meetings to understand and facilitate institutional goals.
