Earned Nursing Degree at the Baccalaureate level or higher for those hired after January 1, 2014. All transfers to Rush University Medical Center or Rush University Medical Group from other Rush entities must have an earned nursing degree at the baccalaureate level or higher prior to the transfer. Chief Nursing Officer must provide approval for any RNs with ADN degree hired after 10/22/2020, based upon unit need. ADN RNs hired after 10/22/2020 must show continued enrolment towards a BSN degree with a signature of contract stipulating a BSN degree must be completed within 3 years of hire, Failure to do so will result in termination. As a dedicated and compassionate leader, we seek a talented Director of Nursing to join our esteemed team. This challenging yet rewarding role demands a highly skilled and experienced professional who can effectively manage and lead our nursing team to deliver exceptional care to our residents. Responsibilities: Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates and directs the overall operations of the Nursing Services department, as well as its programs and activities, in accordance with current state and federal laws and regulations. Interprets and communicates policies and procedures to nursing staff, and monitors staff practices and implementation. Participates in all admission decisions. Participates in daily or weekly management team meetings to discuss census changes, resident changes in status, complaints or concerns. Evaluates work performance of all nursing personnel and implements discipline according to operational policies Requirements A Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university. Must have, as a minimum, three (3) years of experience as a supervisor in a nursing home or other related health care facility. Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Illinois Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.
