Summary The Organ Recovery Center Specialty Nurse provides nursing care to deceased organ donors and patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients. The Organ Recovery Center Specialty Nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care. In the event that the Donor Care Center has a low daily census, the Organ Recovery RN 2 will be assigned to a limited number of pre-transplant related tasks which could include pre transplant tasks such as regulatory paperwork for transplant patients.
