Job Summary Responsible for supervision of nursing staff on the assigned shift, the nursing care provided and related administrative and professional nursing activities. Activates fire and disaster plans. Reviews staff timecards in EZ Labor and time accruals for accuracy. Works with Security to ensure safety of patients and staff. Oversees emergencies. Facilitates 302 petitions and emergency transfers. Completes supervisory report and checks 24-hour census for accuracy. Other Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for attending and ensuring that all staff members participate in mandated training. Other related duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing. INCU has critically care-trained RNs who support the patient's needs and care for ventilated patients. South 10 also has 2 negative pressure isolation rooms with an anti-room that is used when needed for specific isolation needs. We do multidisciplinary rounds Monday – Friday. This involves the patient in their care and allows the team members to collaborate with the patient to give them the best possible care and appropriate discharge to home or other facilities. We have a pharmacist who has an office on the unit to assist the RNs when needed to help avoid delay of care to any patient. Education Requirements Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing.
