Develops and oversees management of budgets. Monitors budget performance and develops and communicates action plans when variances are present. Creates and monitors performance metrics that support decision-making to achieve optimal performance levels. Ensures adherence to the established care delivery model, using knowledge of scope and standards of practice. Facilitates continual compliance for all responsible departments with the JC, CMS, New York State, DOH, Public Health Law, HIPPA regulations and System, hospital and department standards. Ensures all regulations and standards are addressed and current in policies and procedures. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of clinical competencies for patient population of oversight in order to direct patient care. Maintains current knowledge of scope and standards of practice, healthcare legislation, and population health. Identifies and leads opportunities to initiate operational change across departments/service line unit using evidence-based strategies and solutions. Performs related duties as required.
