Essential Duties: Helps plan and implement care of doctor’s patients, including entering orders into the patient record that are verbal orders or part of standing orders or protocols approved by the supervising physician. Provides direct patient treatment, including but not limited to: assists with simple wound care and repair, joint injection and aspiration, administration of local anesthetic and digital blocks, joint and fracture reduction, and application of braces, splints, and other DME and soft goods. FLSA Status Non-Exempt Job Role Summary The Cath Lab/IR nurse provides clinical care to a variety of patients in the procedural area. The Cath Lab/IR nurse will assist the procedural physician by managing critical medications, providing oversight of patient hemodynamic status, sedation level, as well as document all aspects of the procedure. The Cath Lab/IR nurse will also be responsible for prepping and recovering patients from procedures and providing all necessary patient education and support. This position also requires the nurse to be comfortable practicing with a high-level of autonomy typically acquired from at least 2 years of intensive nursing experience in a unit such as critical care, cath lab, interventional radiology, or the ER.
