THIS IS A FULL TIME POSITION Job Summary Join our Primary Care team at Gritman Medical Center Downtown Clinic as a key clinical professional ( MA ). In this fast-paced outpatient setting, you’ll assist with patient intake, exams, lab tests, and procedures while ensuring accurate documentation in the EHR. Responsibilities include administering vaccines and injections, performing diagnostic tests, processing prior authorizations, managing supplies, and supporting overall clinic operations. Common Job Duties Clinical Care & Documentation Prepare exam rooms and assist patients with intake and age/gender-appropriate assessments. Document patient intake, clinical interventions, and care outcomes in the EHR. Support provider documentation and may serve as medical scribe when appropriate. Monitor the clinical inbox and process incoming/outgoing documents, labs, phone calls, refill requests, and other correspondence. Testing & Procedures Perform CLIA-waived lab testing, venipuncture, capillary blood draws, and prepare specimens for lab processing. Conduct in-office diagnostic tests (e.g., EKGs, vision/hearing screenings) under provider supervision. Assist during exams and procedures, entering orders/referrals as directed. Vaccinations & Medication Administration Administer subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intradermal injections under provider supervision. Administer adult vaccines and participate in the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program, including IRIS record review, vaccine screening, and documentation. Administrative & Compliance Support Handle medication prior authorizations with insurance companies. Monitor and restock medical supplies, report malfunctions or needs. Complete online incident reports for variances, near misses, and complaints. Observe safety, privacy, and patient service issues in front office/waiting areas. Role-Specific Duties and Qualifications Medical Assistant (MA) Minimum Education/Certifications: No formal education required; Medical Office experience preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Responsibilities Unique to MA Scope: Administer injections and vaccines under provider supervision only. JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY : The Registered Nurse reports to the Director of Nursing/Supervising Nurse and is responsible for providing home health clinical services. The registered nurse is responsible for quality; adequacy of services provided and may, where required, supervise staff. The registered nurse is responsible for ensuring that care is delivered appropriately and the standards of quality are adhered to. The registered nurse is responsible for working with other medical disciplines (i.e., PT, OT, ST) to ensure coordinated services and that all of the client’s needs are identified through the assessment process and addressed through the implementation of the Plan of Care and re-evaluation and supervisory process. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provides care and procedures as defined within the scope of nursing practice and State regulations. If directed by the Director of Nursing/Supervising Nurse, conducts the initial evaluation visit and regularly revaluates the client’s nursing needs. Initiates the plan of care and makes necessary revisions, keeping the Director of Nursing/Supervising Nurse updated on the revisions. Provides those services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skill. Initiates appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures. Prepares clinical and progress notes and summaries of care. Informs the Director of Nursing/Supervising Nurse, physician and other personnel of changes in the client’s condition and needs. Counsels the client and family in meeting nursing and related needs. Assists in the development of organization goals. Administers agency policies and procedures. Assists the Director of Nursing with assessing the competency of clinical staff to promote quality, continuity and safety of a client’s care. Supervises, educates and coaches other nursing personnel, as directed by the Director of Nursing/Supervising Nurse. Provides information to be used for statistics, reports and records for purposes of evaluation and reporting of organization activities. Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with provincial and federal laws. Assures compliance with all state and federal laws Identifies and participates in agency performance improvement activities. Stays informed about changes in the field of nursing and home health care. Shares information with appropriate organization personnel. Promotes home health referrals in the health care community. Experience & Qualifications: Current license and in good standing with the State Board of Nursing in the State of Idaho. Minimum two-three years of clinical experience with at least half of that time working in home care or related health care organization. Wound care certification preferred IV certification preferred Ability to travel on a daily basis including weekends, nights and holidays Environment, Personal Protective Equipment or Physical Demands Environment: Contact with clients under a wide variety of circumstances. Care provided in client’s living environment with varying situations or in an institution such as a hospital. May be required to respond to emergency situations. Travel required. Position includes tasks that have the potential for exposure to blood and other potentially infectious material (OPIM) such as body fluids/tissues. Personal Protective Equipment: May include gloves, mask, eye/face protection, and disposable outer covering or lab coat. Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the ability of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Visual and hearing acuity required. Monitors the overall capacity status of the medical center and coordinates interventions to ensure smooth functioning during periods of peak census, limited staffing or services and other factors that could influence admission patterns. Coordinates with transport, PACU, and inpatient units for movement of physical beds to appropriate areas in a timely manner. Enters calls from outlying facilities into Forefront. Demonstrates ability to utilize Central Logic to search for physicians and use paging system including appropriate scripting for text paging. Communicates frequently with the emergency department to facilitate timely admissions. Prepares periodic reports regarding issues and concerns in the placement of patients. Serves on committees within and beyond Patient Care Services PRN. Our Company All Ways Caring HomeCare Overview Works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Duties include providing routine care, general observation of client’s health status, assists the RN and physician in treatments and communicating with clients and their families/guardians. Reports changes in condition and/or additional client needs to supervisor. External Job Description Communicates health/nursing needs and/or recommendations to RN supervisor Coordinates admissions, discharges, and follow-up as needed Assists in medical/health appointments as needed Ensures the provision of nursing/health services under the direction of the RN and as ordered by the physician, provides direct care as outlined in the Service Plan/Nursing Care Plan Takes and records vital signs, weights, wound measurements, etc. Identifies trends outside of parameters, or in need of attention and communicates to RN/physician Reports pertinent information and changes in individual health status to attending physician/health professionals and to the Team as needed in a timely manner Ensures the provision of needed adaptive equipment Medication Administration: Administers medications, verifying the correct medications are administered (per the six “rights” of medication administration), and that client’s response to medications is noted and documented along with any noted side effects Works closely with home/facility/pharmacy staff in consulting on psychotropic medications, side effects, and medication reviews Orders, reviews, monitors, and discontinues medications as ordered by physician. Dispose of unused medication per policy Assures that monthly Medication Administration Records (MAR’s) are accurately transcribed in each individual’s record Checks the medication cabinet on a weekly basis to ensure medications are administered as ordered, appropriately documented on the MAR, and that missed medications are documented, and required follow-up occurs Returns completed med cards at the end of each month, along with expired and unused medications as applicable Checks program/service areas on a frequent but not less than a monthly basis to ensure the necessary medical/nursing/medication supplies are available and in ample supply Reports client illness, potential communicable diseases or infections and works closely with RN, direct care staff, other programmatic and health care professionals, and family in maintaining a safe environment for clients and staff. Implements isolation precautions as needed Ensures health status, care and services are documented accurately and timely per company and state requirements Provides supervision and education for non-licensed staff in the provision of care and services and reports any changes Complete a quarterly nursing evaluation/review of body systems on assigned individuals per program requirements. Refer to physician any assessment findings needing further review.
