Job Description: I. Position Summary The primary role of the Nursing Assistant is to protect, sustain, and nurture the residents/patients that live at the Center. They provide assistance with activities of daily living, care of the resident/patient’s environment, and meet other needs as required. The goal of the work of the nursing assistant is to provide assistance that promotes a high quality of life for the residents/patients. The nursing assistant works as a member of a team that seeks to achieve a home like setting while maintaining excellence in all areas of care. Perform electrocardiograms and bladder scans 13. Follow infection control practices 14. Attend and participate in ongoing training and educational classes 15. *Maintain confidentiality and privacy of the resident/patient according to HIPPA regulations 16. *Communicate effectively with peers, other team members, residents/patients and families 17. Facilitate life enrichment activities that encourage resident/patient engagement 18. Maintain cleanliness of the resident/patient’s room and common program areas 19. Prepare, serve, and clean up after meals and snacks 20. Participate in committee meetings 21. Other duties as assigned IV.
