The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday 8a-5p. What You’ll Do Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines Performs procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, and development Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed Maintains patient health records ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation and records Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices Performs other duties as assigned What You’ll Bring Maintains state RN licenses/certificates to practice Maintains Nurse Practitioner licenses/certificates to practice Maintains State Prescriptive Authority (if applicable) Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable) State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in your state (Alabama, Connecticut, DC, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming, Puerto Rico) (New York ROPES registration) Current national certification (ANCC or AANP required) Master’s Degree in Science of Nursing (if Master Degree in Science certificate does not state Nursing on it then a copy of transcripts is required) Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services At least three years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting Work-life balance is at the foundation of how decisions are made and where Premise is headed. Job Responsibility Manages and has 24/7 responsibility for the team members, operations and patient care activities of a patient care unit. Assists nursing leadership in setting strategic direction for key programs in alignment with organization mission, vision, and values and nursing strategic plan. Communicates, builds consensus, and guides team toward achieving department objectives. Promotes and maintains high quality patient and family centered care in a healing environment. Creates a professional work environment that fosters team member respect, engagement, accountability and optimal patient outcomes. Promotes appreciative inquiry and evidence-based, ethical and compassionate practice. Acquires and manages staffing for patient care unit. Collaborates with HR for requirements. Provides direction and guidance to patient care unit team members and supervisors. Facilitates performance reviews, promotions, pay and corrective actions. Serves as a role model for standards of professional practice (clinical, educational and leadership). Assists in career development planning for team members. Educates teams in new and existing department procedures and systems (information systems, fiscal responsibility, etc.). Manages patient care unit budget. Ensures adherence to the established care delivery model, using knowledge of scope and standards of practice. Demonstrates current knowledge of clinical competencies for patient population of oversight in order to manage direct patient care. Maintains current knowledge of scope and standards of practice, healthcare legislation, and population health. Identifies and leads opportunities to make changes to improve operations across teams using evidence-based strategies and solutions. Performs related duties as required.
