Complete and ensure LPN and C.N.A. documentation of care and services rendered according to facility policies and procedures. Complete reports such as the 24-hour change in condition report, Incident and Accident reports, etc. according to the facility policy and procedure and as assigned by the Director of Nursing Services. Provide immediate response to situations of resident risk such as allegations of abuse, neglect or misappropriation of property. Report incidents timely and to appropriate persons per facility policy. Ensure timely and accurate medication and treatment administration. Communicate to physician and documents changes in resident condition utilizing both objective and subjective nursing assessment. Document and implement changes in nursing and medical plans of care. According to facility policy and procedure, assure that all members of the interdisciplinary team are aware of and understand changes in resident nursing and/or medical plan of care. The Regional Director of Resident Services is responsible for evaluating standards of quality, service, training, expense control, and revenue generation within our communities. The role is one of support for the nursing and executive leadership within each community. With a focused portfolio of five Massachusetts communities — including one skilled nursing community — each fully staffed without reliance on agency staffing, and well-established clinical support at both the community and corporate levels, this role offers regional impact with a manageable, sustainable scope. Essential Functions Regulatory and Corporate Compliance: Ensure each community within the defined region is compliant with Maplewood policies, procedures, practices and programmatic standards, as well as with Massachusetts Executive Office of Aging & Independence (AGE) regulations related to resident care and clinical operations, and applicable federal/CMS requirements for the skilled nursing setting. Safely recover patients post sedation, perform discharge teaching, and evaluate safety of patient discharge. Coordinate correct research specimen collection with research coordinators. Maintain Joint commission readiness. Provide as needed support for biopsy specimen collection when not acting in a procedural sedation role.
