Overview Department: Nursing Administration Schedule: Part time Days|2-12 hour shifts Facility: St. Francis Hospital Location: 355 Ridge Ave Evanston, Illinois 60202 Responsibilities The House Supervisor is a Registered Nurse who assumes administrative responsibility for the management of all department service functions on his/her shift. Makes frequent rounds throughout facility to monitor the delivery of care, oversee the quality of services and direct patient care activities as needed. Directly supervises, provides support to and communicates with all staff house-wide. In the absence of the Hospital Administrative staff, the administrative scope and responsibility is extended to all services within the hospital. Ensures efficient operations and patient flow throughout the hospital. Performs direct patient care, only as needed, within the scope of practice and competence. Ensures all temporary agency personnel are deployed and oriented in compliance with hospital policy. Assist medical staff with scheduling after hour procedures and calling in stand-by call staff members. Enhances the patient/family experience through supportive interactions and explanations of hospital policies as needed. Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse. 2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current. 3. ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 4. One (1) year prior experience as a Supervisor preferred. 5. Minimum of three (3) years acute care nursing experience 6. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. SUMMARY: The Temporary Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing resident care and support in all activities of daily living and ensures the health, welfare and safety of all residents. *$25 Hourly Rate!* ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *$25 Hourly Rate!* Provide assistance with serving meals and feeding; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals. Provide assistance in personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths. Provide assistance in ambulating, turning, and positioning residents. Maintain resident stability by checking vital signs and weight; recording intake and output information. Provide for resident comfort by utilizing resources and materials; answering call lights and requests; reporting observations of the residents to the nursing supervisor. Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. Protect privacy and dignity by keeping patient information confidential; comply with HIPAA guidelines and related laws. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations; and maintaining licensure. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of the state of practice. Must be at least 18 years of age. Long term care experience preferred. Current CPR certification required. Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
