The Adult Emergency Department consists of 55 patient care rooms including a rapid assessment unit, six trauma/resuscitation suites and separate rooms for infection isolation, care of immune compromised patients, and psychiatric consultations. The Adult Emergency Department champions its nurse's involvement in unit-based councils, quality initiatives, staff mentorship, and the pursuit of excellence in compassionately caring for a diverse population. A staff nurse is a registered professional nurse (RN) who manages patient centered care that is outcome directed.
