Utilizes advanced knowledge of sterile and surgical techniques by practicing aseptic technique. Serves as a resource in the area of clinical expertise to Surgical Technologist I's & II's in order to answer any questions and assist with complex situations. Communicate patient data in an accurate, objective manner to co-workers and management, in order to ensure safe patient care. Participates in multidisciplinary planning care by discussing specific cases with other team members. Assists Specialty Nurse Coordinator with service specific needs. Maintains a positive working relationship with patient's, medical and administrative hospital staff, visiting physicians, visitors, interns and students to ensure personal comfort and safety of patients, and that operating room activities meet the needs of users.
