Position Qualifications: License/Certification/Education: Required: 1. Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration. 2. BLS is a requirement for every RN unless advance cardiac life support (ACLS) certification is current, in addition to any unit specific certifications and competencies. Preferred : 1. Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing highly preferred. Experience/Skills: Required: 1. Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing. Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements. ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support). 2. PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support or APLS (Advanced Pediatric Life Support). 3. Must be eligible to obtain CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) upon hire. If not certified upon hire, caregiver must obtain within 12 months of hire or by 1/31/2029, whichever is earlier, or be subject to termination . Experience/Skills: Required: 1. Have a minimum of three years’ experience working in a full-service hospital emergency department. 2. Provide traditional clinical emergency services at a full-service hospital emergency department (Marlborough Campus) for at least 25% of their total working hours per year.
