Job Summary Provides professional nursing care under supervision to primary and specialty care patients in a private medical office setting. Duties And Responsibilities Patient Care Prepare patients for examinations, tests, or treatments, and provide clear explanations of procedures. Perform blood draws, complete lab slips, and handle cultures and other specimen collections. Update electronic medical records promptly and accurately to ensure proper documentation. Triage calls, respond to phone messages, and complete follow-ups when appropriate, or forward to the physician for additional advice. Schedule patient appointments, as necessary. Implement physician orders and notify patients of results as directed. Assist the doctor with various procedures and ensure a smooth process for both patient and provider. Complete drug prior authorizations as required to ensure timely access to prescribed medications. Renew medication refills as directed to support continuity of patient care.
