Oversees and maintains unit schedules. Projects staffing needs of next day and conducts staffing reconciliation based on acuity and procedure schedule. Responsible for balancing safe staffing needs and fiscal responsibility, while maximizing usage of available resources. Partners with other unit clinical resource nurses to support operations which include weekends and holidays to maintain 24/7-unit coverage. Participates in reviewing and revising policies and procedures specific to the patient population In collaboration with the Director/Nursing Manager, evaluates staff performance based on developed standards. Assumes responsibility with the Director/Nursing Manager for optimal maintenance and utilization of supplies and equipment. Participates in hospital committees and programs, as appropriate. Maintains and supports patient's rights to care, privacy and respect. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree or higher required. Experience Minimum two years of experience in obstetrical and/or neonatal nursing with demonstrated leadership abilities required.
