The Fred Hutch Cancer Center GU Oncology team is looking for an APP (ARNP/PA-C) to provide evaluation and medical management of GU Oncology patients as part of the Fred Hutch Cancer Center. The incumbent will follow patients during their therapy and provide medical supportive care, as well as surveillance after completion of treatment. They will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary treatment team to coordinate care of their patients. All clinical responsibilities are performed within the scope of practice, institutional privileges and under the supervision of an attending physician. Responsibilities Provide medical care, coordination of care, and follow-up for clinic patients in a collaborative, and/or independent fashion, while maintaining effective communication with their team Autonomously manage toxicity of treatment and/or underlying disease with physician consultation as needed Effectively communicate with Attending Physician, Nursing, Pharmacy, and other team members. Address EPIC inbox results, questions, refills, etc. in a timely manner Participates in the conduct of cancer clinical research, including patient, caregiver, and peer education Follow plan of care as outlined by the attending physician – i.e., ensure staging studies (imaging, labs, etc.) are ordered at the appropriate interval; ensure appropriate physician and/or APP follow up is arranged at agreed upon intervals. Precept learners of all disciplines (Fellows, PA, NP, etc) Participates in patient rounds, conferences and committees Active member of the Rapid Response team Qualifications Required: Strong team player with a can-do attitude is a must. The ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team is essential. Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program required. Washington state & DEA licensure required ACLS required within 3 months of start date Strong oral and written communication skills required. Total cash compensation includes earnings from per visit point pay and hourly pay and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. This role receives two types of compensation depending on the work being performed. When conducting visits, you will be paid per visit point rate compensation. Your per visit pay will be calculated by multiplying your per visit point rate by the productivity points you accrue for various types of visits. Each type of visit is assigned a certain number of productivity points that is inclusive of 'direct' and 'indirect' patient care activities. Visits are assigned based on patient and business needs. The number of visits performed each week will vary based on individual productivity targets and the productivity points assigned to the visits performed.
