This role applies clinical expertise, medical record analysis, MCG clinical criteria, and payer-specific clinical policies to support medical necessity, patient status, and other clinical determinations in order to maximize appropriate reimbursement and reduce avoidable denials. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Experience: Three years' clinical nursing experience required. There are two sides to this. One group of nurses prepare and recover the patient following the procedure, while another group of nurses is in the rooms with the interventional radiologists and others to assist with the procedures. Some of these nurses do go over to MD Anderson for Radiologic cases scheduled over there.
