Summary JOB DESCRIPTION Provides patient care duties for patients of all ages, infants through adults under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Provides care preoperatively, perioperatively, and postoperatively within scope of practice and hospital policy and procedures. Also functions as a surgical assistant and/or assistant to the circulating nurse. Performs a variety of organizational, administrative, and communication functions. Required Education Graduate of accredited program of Surgical Technology, military experience, or at least two years of clinical surgical technology experience with no degree.
