RN Case Manager Full Time - 40 Hours The Hospital Case Manager is a registered nurse responsible for the coordination of clinical care, quality, and financial outcomes of a designated population of patients. The Hospital Case Manager is responsible for overseeing an efficient plan that will ensure continuity and effective community or post acute reentry. Job Responsibilities: 1) Participates in staff development and education activities maintaining competencies on an annual basis, in accordance with performance-based skills and knowledge requirements. 2) Maintains knowledge and skills in the first scrub role and responsibilities. 3) Multitasks within the operative setting. 4) Sets up of the operative setting to facilitate the specific surgical procedure being performed including equipment, instrumentation, lighting, and OR table with the ability to adapt the setting for multiple procedures. 5) Thinks independently and works under stressful/emergent conditions using positive coping skills. 6) Considers any variations of the procedure according to specific patient needs and demonstrates knowledge and understanding of normal and abnormal Anatomy and Physiology, the pathological condition affecting the patient, and the planned operative procedure. 7) Meets the requirements of the designated clinical recognition ladder for a Surgical Technologist Level III. Must have certification as a surgical technologist. 8) Demonstrates knowledge in the use of pharmacological agents dispensed to the sterile field with the ability to recognize mixtures, doses, and labels in accordance with policies and procedures.
