Responsibilities: Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the nursing service department, according to state and federal guidelines and scope of patient care. Maintain and review clinical policies and procedures, and develop new ones as needed. Develop and implement a nursing service organization structure. Determine the staffing needs of the nursing service department and make recommendations to the Administrator. Oversee licensed nursing staff and develop work assignments and schedules. Assist in establishing and maintaining the Infection Control Program and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Requirements: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, college, or university, B.S.N. preferred. Current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts. CPR certified. Certification in Gerontology preferred. At least one year of additional education or experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing and one year of nursing administration. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. What you bring to the table: Required Certifications: Active RN or LPN/LVN License.
