Responsibilities Provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. Assesses clinical needs of patient. Updates patient records as needed. Demonstrates responsible decision making in planning, providing, and delegating care based on assessment. Communicates effectively. Establishes and maintains two way communication with peers, staff, physicians and administration. Follows through on problems that may compromise patient care by using the appropriate chain of command. The clinic nurse assists physicians, nurse practitioners and other staff in coordinating patient care and functions as primary liaison between patients, staff and physicians. Maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies and materials; ensures cleanliness. Prepares list of medical supplies needed. Administers prescribed medication and treatments in accordance with nursing standards. Educates patient/family about diagnostic procedures, medications, nutrition and maintenance of health and wellness. Efficiently utilizes the clinics patient data management system (electronic or manual) to maintain accurate patient records and utilizes NHS interface in a proficient manner. Screens patients for appropriate information to enter into the record, assuring chart is accurate and complete prior to date of appointment. Updates patient record information changes, using department charting guidelines. Completes paperwork accurately, completely and in a timely manner. Safely administers any medications using the 5 rights: prepares, gives, and documents medications and IV solutions. Maintains current medication profiles and documents medication profiles and documents medication instruction to patient/caregiver. Demonstrates population appropriate care and skill sets for all patient populations. Performs prescribed/ordered treatments timely and without errors. Complies with professional standards of practice and expected standards of care: Knows and adheres to the Arkansas Nurse Practice Act. Communicates pertinent data concerning the clients status and changes in plan of care with members of the health team to ensure continuity of care. Under minimum direction is responsible for: assessment, documentation, and disposition of all designated incoming ICD and Emergency telephone calls. Accurately collects improvement performance data as directed. Actively participates in the development and implementation of process improvements. Provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. Performs other duties as assigned or requested. Job Description: The Interventional Radiology Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) provides comprehensive care for patients undergoing diagnostic and image-guided procedures. The role supports procedural services, patient evaluation, and care coordination across inpatient and outpatient settings. This position serves as an integral member of the radiology team, working under the supervision and/or collaborative agreement of designated supervising radiologist(s) to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care while supporting procedural workflow and departmental throughput. Responsibilities Perform history and physical examinations, consults, and pre-procedure evaluations. Review imaging, labs, and clinical data to determine procedural appropriateness. Perform and/or assist with image-guided procedures (e.g., paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsies, lumbar punctures). Place and manage vascular access devices, including PICC lines and central venous catheters. Manage tube and drain procedures including exchanges and follow-up care. Provide post-procedure care, patient monitoring, and follow-up coordination. Assist in triaging and prioritizing interventional radiology procedures and workflow. Collaborate with radiologists, nursing staff, technologists, and referring providers. Educate patients and families regarding procedures, risks, and follow-up care. Support quality, safety, and efficiency initiatives, including throughput and turnaround time (TAT) improvement. 
Job Description Summary Performs tasks and procedures consistent with Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant's (PA) specialized knowledge, judgment, skill, training and education within the scope of his/her supervising physician. NP/PA will enter into and maintain a supervision agreement with a physician licensed to practice medicine in the State of Missouri. Under such agreement, the physician delegates to the NP/PA authority to deliver health care services and treatments, and to prescribe drugs, medications, devices or therapies which are specific to those clinical conditions treated by the supervising physician. Essential Functions: Creates patient problem list at first patient encounter and updates as appropriate at follow-up visits. Orders appropriate laboratory, radiologic and special examinations or tests according to clinical manifestations, preventative and/or health maintenance standards. Interprets and evaluates clinical data to determine appropriate diagnosis and need for therapeutic procedures or treatment. Consults with supervising physician or designee to provide health care services for conditions other than acute self-limited or well-defined problems. Establishes a plan of care/treatment and provides counseling and clear instructions to the patient regarding mental and physical health using jointly agreed upon procedures and protocols by PA and supervisory physician. Assists with or performs surgical procedures at the direction of the supervising physician; performs hospital rounds and documents patient progress notes as appropriate. Makes appropriate specialty referrals for patient treatment outside of scope of practice. Administers, dispenses, prescribes drugs and medications and/or medical supplies or therapies consistent with both supervising physician and own skill, training, education and competence and within the scope of practice of both. Establishes a process of timely review and management of abnormal test results as per supervision agreement. Maintains an ongoing timely process of submission of patient charts to supervisory physician or designee for review every 14 days as required by Missouri State Statute. Performs complete, detailed and accurate histories, and performs pre and post operative physical examinations, recording pertinent data in the electronic health record. Assists physician when performing health care services in the surgical setting. Administers, dispenses, prescribes drugs and medications and/or medical supplies and controlled substances when applicable with licensure and prescriptive authority, and authorized by collaborating physician and consistent with both collaborating physician and own skill, training, education and competence and within the scope of practice of both.

About Us - Cardiac Cath The Cardiac Cath Lab (CCL) is designated by the state of Missouri as a level I STEMI center. The CCL provides specialized diagnostic and interventional services for both inpatient and outpatient adults. The CCL is committed to staying at the cutting edge of heart disease diagnosis and treatment by utilizing state-of-the-art technologies and equipment in our lab. Procedures that are included but not limited to: cardiac and peripheral diagnostics and revascularizations, electrophysiology studies, structural heart procedures, and vascular embolization. The normal hours of operation for the CCL are Monday through Friday 6:30am to 7:00pm with extended hours until 9:00pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. On call critical care/emergency services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call is a requirement for this department with a required 20-minute staff response time. The call-team members consist of a Cardiologist, RN circulators, cath lab technologists, or Special Procedure Technologists. Schedule: Part Time (20hrs/week) What You’ll Do Utilizing knowledge, education, experience, and competence, the RN-Clinical Educator will function in an expanded clinical role within cardiac cath services and in collaboration with leadership to enhance the overall education experience for staff, new hires, apprentices, and outside entities that use FHS services for a clinical rotation site. In addition, will assist department leaders in assessing the ongoing educational needs of the department. Will assist in improving and maintaining a quality preceptorship and mentoring program. Will promote overall coordination, cohesiveness, and quality of cardiac cath education. Requirements Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse’s state of residence. Minimum 3 years' experience in clinical nursing.
