JOB DESCRIPTION: The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) (TS-C) is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the sterile field. The Technologist accurately and efficiently anticipates surgeon’s needs intraoperatively by applying comprehensive knowledge of operative procedures, Equipment, anatomy and surgeons’ preferences. The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) (TS-C) works closely with all perioperative team members during the preoperative, intraoperative, and post-operative care of the surgical patient. The Certified Surgical Technologist will also be required to precept. In addition to the primary job description above, there will be additional job accountabilities.
