Job Description The Pain Management Center provides care to outpatients. The hours of operation for the Pain Management Center are Monday through Friday 7:30 AM until 4:00PM. The responsibility of the department is to ensure high quality nursing care to patients having Pain Management procedures according to American Society of Pain Management Nurses (ASPMN), American Heart Association, ASPAN, NJ State Department of Health, CDC, CMS, OSHA and TJC recommendations. The department provides peripheral nerve blocks, nerve injections, nerve ablations, tenotomy and epidural procedures. The scope of care includes independently assessing patient needs, making collaborative decisions relative to all phases of care, pre-procedure, intraprocedural, and recovery while maintaining patient safety, monitoring, and high-quality patient care. Principal Accountabilities Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports. Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions. Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments. Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions. Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members. Records patient vital signs and medical information. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required QUALIFICATIONS Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse. BLS certification. Preferred Bachelor’s degree in nursing. All ASN must complete their BSN studies within five years of their start date. 1+ year of experience in Nursing or relevant area. ACLS certification. Description As an integral part of the clinical care team, the Patient Care Associate is responsible for patient care and support activities promoting patient focused care within the Specialty Service. The Patient Care Associate supports the registered nurse in patient care activities, such as: assisting patient with activities of daily living, collecting specimens and performing procedures; maintaining a safe, clean environment; and other duties as needed. Responsibilities A.
